Six families in Tana River, Kenya, and one day of the lives they’ve made inside their shelters.
After the floods, families in Tana River County moved to higher ground, some of them onto Better Shelter frames. The film spends one day with six of them, first light to last, no interviews: braiding a basket, peeling corn, cooking, sweeping. It played on a loop inside the clad frame in Venice, inside the kind of structure where it takes place.

The same day in stills and words, for the people who fund the next shelters. Yellow cloth, red type, the film’s frames at full bleed. Swiss binding: the block is sewn and glued to the back board only, so the spine stays exposed, the front cover floats free and every spread lies flat. Photo Viktor Sjödin
