Swedes had stopped going to the cinema. Stockholm Film Festival needed a way to reignite people’s passion for sitting together in a dark room and sharing the experience of a film. The festival decided to go where no film festival had gone before, to places where new films are typically seen last.

557 articles in 106 outlets and a reach of 310 million, with no paid media. 3,500 more tickets than the year before, ticket revenue up 16.6 percent, membership revenue up 13.6 percent, and the festival’s highest revenue ever.
